Here's the fish I referred to in the "River Bass" post. The writing on the back of the photo reads Christchurch quay, 28th Aug 1980, Age 12, 1 1/2 lb Mullet which was later crossed out and replaced with Bass after an experienced angler later saw the photo and correctly identified it. As you can see the fish was caught in bright conditions and I was ledgering a small dead bait (Not sure what for) at the time. Looking at myself its hard to believe I joined the Royal Navy less than five years later...
