I was excited to see the first Sandeels in the eastuary yesterday, a sure sign that things are warming up and that the fish will be here soon. I also noted many casualties from the big surf of the last few days, many small shore crabs and bait fish, all food sources for the fish. Will be keeping an eye out for the arrival of the Arctic Terns that love to noisely dive on the Sandeels all summer long.
